Privacy Policy

1. Information and how it is used

Information kept on your device

Slug Island stores game progress, settings, offline achievements, and local-notification schedules on your device. I do not receive this information and Slug Island does not provide accounts or cloud saves. Your operating system may include this local data in a device backup according to your Apple or Google backup settings.

Local notifications

If you allow notifications, Slug Island may schedule reminders locally on your device. These are not sent from my server, and I do not receive a push-notification token. You can disable notifications in the game or your device settings.

Contextual advertising

Slug Island uses Unity Ads, provided by Unity Technologies, to display contextual (non-behavioural) advertisements. Slug Island asks Unity to treat users as age-restricted for advertising. I do not ask Unity to create advertising profiles, remarket to players, or track players across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Unity Ads may automatically process or share information such as:

• IP address and approximate location, such as country or city;
• device type, operating system, language, app version, and device or installation identifiers;
• advertisements shown and interactions within the advertisement;
• limited app-use, purchase, and diagnostic information; and
• information used for frequency capping, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.

In-app purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. The store may provide Slug Island with a product identifier, transaction or receipt identifier, purchase status, and other information needed to provide or restore the purchased item. I do not receive your full store account credentials or payment-card details. Apple and Google handle purchase information under their own privacy policies.

Support and privacy messages

The game and website link to your email application; they do not contain a support form. If you email me, I receive your email address, the contents of your message, any attachments you choose to send, and the technical information you choose to include. I use it only to answer your request, keep the service safe, or meet a legal obligation. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Services not used

Slug Island does not use accounts, social login, online leaderboards, multiplayer, chat, user-uploaded content, a separate gameplay analytics service, remote configuration, A/B testing, or developer-operated cloud saves. Unity Ads may process the limited ad and app activity described above. If a future version adds one of these features, I will update this policy before information is collected.

2. Children's privacy

Children, including children under 13, may play Slug Island. The game does not ask players for their name, email address, date of birth, precise location, photographs, voice, contacts, or other user-submitted personal information. It does not provide social or public-sharing features.

Advertising is configured as contextual and age-restricted for all players. Unity may process limited technical information and persistent identifiers only for contextual advertising and activities that support the operation, security, frequency capping, and legal compliance of the advertising service, as described in Unity's policy.

If you are under 13 and need support, please ask a parent or guardian to contact me. A parent or guardian may use the details in the Contact section to ask what information is held, request deletion, or raise a concern about their child. Because the game has no accounts, I may not be able to identify information about a particular player without details such as a provider or device identifier.

3. Who receives information

I disclose information only as described in this policy:

• Unity Technologies, to provide contextual advertising and related internal operations;
• Apple and Google, to distribute the game and process in-app purchases;
• Cloudflare, to deliver and protect bunnyslug.com;
• Google/YouTube, when the embedded trailer is loaded or played;
• professional advisers or authorities where reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights; or
• a successor if the game or business is transferred, subject to this policy and applicable law.

I do not sell players' names or contact details, and I do not make information available for behavioural advertising or cross-context advertising.

4. Retention and deletion

• Local game data: remains on your device until it is overwritten, you clear the app's data, or you uninstall the app, subject to any device backup controlled by you or your platform provider.
• Support messages: are normally deleted within 12 months after the request is resolved. I may keep a message longer where reasonably required for security, dispute resolution, or a legal obligation.
• Advertising, store, hosting, and video data: is retained by Unity, Apple, Google, or Cloudflare according to their settings, policies, and legal obligations.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal information, or to make a privacy complaint.

• Delete local game information by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it, subject to device backups.
• Disable local notifications in Slug Island or your device settings.
• Use the privacy controls shown within a Unity advertisement or described in Unity's privacy policy.
• Manage purchase and store information through your Apple or Google account.
• Contact me for access, correction, deletion, or a privacy complaint.

I will acknowledge and investigate privacy complaints and normally respond within 30 days. If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with my response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner .

6. Website practices

Bunnyslug.com does not provide user accounts, accept payments, or use a contact form. I do not install a first-party advertising or audience-analytics service on the website.

The website is hosted using Cloudflare. When you request a page, Cloudflare may process an IP address, request date and time, requested URL, browser or device information, and security or diagnostic events to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

The home page includes a YouTube video using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. Google/YouTube may still receive technical information when the embedded player loads and additional information if you interact with it. See Google's Privacy Policy. Links to Instagram and other external websites are governed by those services' own privacy policies.

7. International processing and security

I am based in Australia. Unity, Apple, Google, Cloudflare, and their service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in your country.

I use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the limited information I handle. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Changes and contact

I may update this policy when the game, website, providers, or legal requirements change. I will post the updated policy here and change the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way before they take effect where required.
